The Mexicans of China:

I was fascinated and sat still. It seemed like an eternity, but by my count it was on and over in only 15 minutes. I don’t think that I’ll be able to see something that random and inspiring for a long time again. It’s times like these that hold me back when I firmly declare that the Bay Area is where I want to be, for where in the developed world will I ever encounter such spontaneous joy again? Where will I experience this, even without the hope of ever being an insider?

There comes a moment in the back of any police van when your thoughts turn to the chain of events that has brought you to this moment in your life, and with perhaps more urgency, to any potential chains of events that may help lead you someplace else.
